Who Luca Chang Works With in Oakland & Online in the SF Bay Area ~ California

As a Bay Area therapist who grew up here, I am excited to support individual adults (ages 18+) in the East Bay Area and online across California with their process of deepening self-connection and acceptance.

I believe that each and every one of us has an inherent inner wisdom that will guide the way toward a life that feels both more free and connected. I’m here to help you turn inward and heal from the inside out.

I specialize in supporting:

  • Queer, trans, BIPOC, and/or mixed race adults who want to rewrite stories about who you’re expected to be & reclaim your sense of agency and identity

  • Adult children of immigrants who love your families but feel stifled by obligations and cultural norms that bump up against your personal choice and autonomy

  • Highly anxious folks who want to release the panic, tension, and mounting pressure that’s been building inside for far too long

  • Codependents and other insecurely attached adults who want to relate to others from a place of balance, independence, and healthy interdependence

  • High-achieving professionals and creatives who want to find your self-worth outside of accomplishment and success

  • People-pleasers who want to learn how to put on your own oxygen mask on first

  • Perfectionists who feel restricted by trying to be good all the time and want to lean into flexibility

  • Covid cautious folks who want a therapist who isn’t going to question or pathologize your desire to keep yourself and your community safe

Therapy that
keeps it real & helps you go deep

In my office in Oakland and online throughout the East Bay and California, I enjoy working with people who are curious to learn more about their thoughts, feelings, and patterns. They don’t just want to bring more awareness to their inner world; they want to understand themselves with compassion and build trust with their intuitive selves so that they can make choices from a place of love instead of fear.

By the time clients reach out to me, they’re looking for relief from suffering. The clients I work best with know that relief doesn’t come from quick fixes. Healing on a deeper level asks us to be courageous enough to look honestly and earnestly at what’s beneath our behaviors and patterns, and to surrender to who we can become when we let go of what’s no longer working.

The answers may not be clear and the path may have some stumbles, but my clients are often willing to rise to the task of meeting themselves—strengths, imperfections, and all—more openly and fully.
