Integrative, Affirming Therapy for High-Achieving LGBTQ+ Adults & Adult Children of Immigrants in Oakland
At my Lake Merritt office, I see LGBTQ+ adults and adult children of immigrants who seek freedom from the demands of over-achieving, caretaking, and managing others' emotions.
We all need a space to rest our wild minds and heavy hearts.
Right by Lake Merritt in Oakland, where community and city life meet, my office is nestled among other therapy spaces where people dedicate their time and energy to learning how to take the best care of themselves.
With intentional warm lighting, deep colors, nature-themed pillows, and fidget toys easily available, my office is set up for high-achieving, people-pleasing, and over-functioning LGBTQ+ adults and adult children of immigrants who need a nervous system reset.
Sink into the couch, take a slow big breath, and we’ll arrive together to do unburden you from what you’ve been carrying for far too long.

The office is right off of Grand Ave by Lake Merritt in Oakland. Located in a therapy hub, the space itself is calm and quiet, allowing for thoughtful reflection, deep internal exploration, and a felt sense that there’s room to slow down enough to be with what’s calling your attention.

If you’re like me, then you’re always checking to see how easy it will be to park anywhere, especially in a lively city. There’s free street parking in most of the neighboring blocks around the office, with metered parking along Grand Avenue.

There are no steps to the building entrance. There are two steps to get into the office itself. There is a small waiting room with armed chairs, with no steps to get into that room. There are bathrooms available in the building, with bathroom keys available in the waiting room.

As a Covid cautious therapist, I wear a KN95 mask in session in order to reduce illness exposure and transmission. I also have an air purifier that will run throughout our session.
