Integrative, Affirming Therapy for LGBTQ+ Adults & Adult Children of Immigrants in Oakland ~ East Bay
At my Lake Merritt office in Oakland, I see LGBTQ+ adults and adult children of immigrants who want to free themselves of the anxiety and relationship strain that comes from over-achieving, caretaking, and managing others' emotions.
What to Expect at My Oakland Therapy Office
Right by Lake Merritt in Oakland, where community and city life meet, my office is nestled among other therapy spaces where people dedicate their time and energy to learning how to take care of their emotions, wounds, and needs.
With intentional warm lighting, deep colors, nature-themed pillows, and fidget toys easily available, my office is set up for high-achieving, people-pleasing, and over-functioning LGBTQ+ adults and adult children of immigrants who need a nervous system reset.
We all need a place to rest our wild minds and heavy hearts. Sink into the couch, take a slow big breath, and we’ll arrive together to do unburden you from what you’ve been carrying for far too long.

The office is at the Farol building right off of Grand Ave by Lake Merritt in Oakland. Located in a therapy hub, the space itself is calm and quiet, allowing for thoughtful reflection, deep internal exploration, and a felt sense that there’s room to slow down enough to be with what’s calling your attention.

If you’re like me, then you’re always checking to see how easy it will be to park anywhere, especially in a lively city. There’s free street parking in most of the neighboring blocks around the office, with metered parking along Grand Avenue.
-
There are no steps to the building entrance. There are two steps to get into the office itself. There is a small waiting room with armed chairs, with no steps to get into that room. There are bathrooms available in the building, with bathroom keys available in the waiting room.

As a Covid cautious therapist in Oakland, I wear a well-fitting KN95 mask in session in order to reduce illness exposure and transmission. I also have a HEPA air purifier that runs throughout our session. When the weather permits, I leave the windows open to allow for more air flow.
If either of us feels even the slightest bit off, then we will switch to meeting virtually in order to keep each other safe from potential exposure.

Yes! Some of my in-person clients drive in from surrounding East Bay cities, such as Berkeley, El Sobrante, Richmond, Hayward, Walnut Creek, and Lafayette.
With telehealth, I can meet with adults across the San Francisco Bay Area, including San Jose, Palo Alto, San Mateo, Marin, San Francisco, Richmond, Berkeley, Fremont, and Hayward. Online therapy gives me the flexibility to see LGBTQ+ adults and adult children of immigrants all across California. Several clients tune in from Los Angeles and beyond.
